Friday afternoon started with a quick trip to Target to stock up on some essentials. And when I say essentials, I actually mean essentials. I bought baby food, ring pops for my cheerleaders, and shampoo. It was the most boring Target run ever. Then, I headed to meet Eric to take a tour of a possible Pre-K for Ella next year. The tour went really well & we finally have a plan for her next year. I truly can't believe how early I had to make this decision, but now that it's set I'm happy that it's settled! Eric picked up the girls from Miss Jennie's & I headed to my basketball game. Thankfully it was a quick game & I was home before 7 on a game night, which never happens.
Saturday morning my alarm went off at 5:30 am (I hate setting an alarm on weekends!) so that I could get ready for a long day of competition. I was out the door by 6:30 & at the school to meet the squad by 7. The rest of the day is honestly a blur, but my squad looked amazing & I'm so proud of them!
My mom, sister, Ella & Aunt Babs all came to cheer us on! It was hard to spend too much time with them while I was there, but they're all cheerleading fans so I think (hope) they enjoyed themselves.
I rode the bus back to school, then hopped in my car to meet the rest of my family at The Distillery for dinner. At this point, I was officially sick & all that sounded good was chicken wings. The hot sauce cleared out my head & I felt better for awhile, but I was definitely ready for bed when we got home.
But you know who wasn't ready for bed? Livy. She was a total chatterbox & refused to go to sleep until 9:30 which is totally unlike her!
Ella spent the night at her Aunt Britt's with my parents, so I slept in until 6:45 then got Livy & myself to go over & join them. I'd barely had a real conversation with my parents, so I wanted to spend some time with them before they headed back to Saratoga.
Livy was so happy to see her Grammy & Gramps!
After a few hours of hanging out, we all got ready & went to Cracker Barrel for brunch. I somehow managed to eat only one biscuit, even though I had both hands free for once since my mom fed Livy for me.
After brunch Ella headed off to shop with her Grammy & found these new Frozen rain boots. I had been thinking about buying her a pair of Hunters for Valentine's Day but she's totally smitten with these & they were half the cost, so I'm rolling with it.
I wish I could say that I came home & was super productive all afternoon but that would be a ginormous lie. I did get a few tasks accomplished, but a vast portion of the evening was spent with me lying on the couch reading a book, snuggling with Livy & battling off a cold.
I walked less that 5,000 steps, but I'm okay with it because my body definitely needed a day to recharge! Have a Happy Monday friends, it's going to be a good week!
