Odd Mom Out Screening Party

With Ella & Eric out of the house this weekend, I had the perfect opportunity to host a girl's night in and screen Bravo's new scripted comedy, Odd Mom Out. I was already excited to have my friends over & hang out - then I got a screening kit from Bravo complete with champagne to make "Mom-osas"!!

That just took my excitement to a whole new level. Of course, I couldn't partake in the drinks myself, but it certainly made me feel a little hipper to be serving my guests something other than water.

Since we were having mom-osas, we decided to change our plans & have a brunch screening instead of a night time one. And no brunch is complete without fresh fruit & big 0l' fluffy waffles!

champagne was already gone before I remembered to take photos... whoops
Once we had our plates made, we settled in & watched the first two episodes. OMG - it's hilarious. I honestly wasn't really sure what to expect, but I loved it In a strange way, it reminded me of a more comedic version of Gossip Girl, where the adults are the stars instead of the teens. To be clear - Jill would be the Humphrey's in that equation. Basically, Jill is raising her kids on the Upper East Side & navigating the social scene that comes hand in hand with the elite class that inhabits it. To say she doesn't always fit in would be a huge understatement. Her in-laws have money, and so do Jill & her husband, but money and MONEY are too different things when you live on the Upper East Side.

Even though I don't live on the Upper East Side, I could still relate to Jill at so many points throughout the show. The moms who make you feel bad for having to work, the moms who make you feel bad for not feeding your child a 100% organic diet, the moms who judge your outfit every single day... I could go on & on. Nobody's situation is perfect, and Jill's is certainly heightened for comedy, but it's such a relatable premise that I know I'll be tuning in every week! To watch the trailer & check it out for yourself, just click here

Be sure to check out the premiere of Odd Mom Out on Bravo, June 8th - which just happens to be my birthday - at 10 p.m. Trust, you won't be disappointed!

**Many thanks to Bravo TV for sponsoring today’s story and encouraging me to be an “Odd Mom Out”!**
