Ella & I are stuck at home today with an unexpected snow day. We let Eric take the AWD & have no plans to go out in the snow. Luckily, we weren't set to return to work today, however we were scheduled to start practices up again. So that has made for an interesting morning so far... lots of texts, emails, & phone calls - all to cancel a practice that I really needed to have.... GRRR! But, you can't control the weather & I'd rather have my girls be safe, so here we are.
Moving on.... I got a lot done yesterday & finally feel like my house is all put back together. All the decorations are down & Ella can successfully move in her playroom again. I do have to say though, it feels a bit empty in here. It almost makes me want to decorate a little bit for Valentine's Day, but Eric has already made it clear that that would push him over the edge, so I won't.
Once the house was picked up, we went to meet my sister & Matt for a New Year's lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. I know it's a chain restaurant, but we don't eat there often, so when we do I always enjoy it. The portions are SO massive though, I only ate half my meal & shared cheesecake - but I was still too full to eat at dinnertime. You'd think that was a good thing, but I'm quite sure I still managed to consume twice my recommended daily caloric intake. Ughh...
Today I had planned to dropped Ella off at daycare & head to practice, then hit the gym hard afterwards. (You know, because of the cheesecake & all...) That clearly isn't going to happen though, so I created a back up plan! I'm going to do this HIIT workout instead. Do it three times through & it will kick your ass. Get up & give it a try!
