My Latest Fitness Obsession

I have a new fitness obsession... 



THE BLOGILATES APP! 

I had heard of the site before & started following her on IG because of a contest featured on Run Eat Repeat. I didn't decide to get involved until I saw that she'd launched a free iPhone app. At that point, I decided to give it a shot & it is ahhh-mazing! There is so much to it. It has clean eating recipes, a motivation forum, & most importantly a day by day workout calendar. 



Might sound basic, but this isn't your run of the mill calendar. Each day it links you to a few of her YouTube workouts. When I first looked at it, I was like "a couple? OMG. I'll die." But they're short & feature lots of my favorite songs. Don't think that short means easy though, because these are some seriously effective workouts. For instance, on Monday I did a circuit three times through plus a leg workout & abs. I was done within 30 minutes. My muscles were on fire when I finished, obviously a good sign! An even better sign, they were sore on Tuesday. 



This app is exactly what I need because I am so inconsistent with my toning exercise & ab work. I'm also on the go all of the time, so the fact that it's on my phone is an added bonus. My plan is to use this in conjunction with my running to build muscle & tone my abs. I'm also turning to My Fitness Pal to hold myself accountable for what I'm eating. I'm not necessarily dieting, just being mindful of what I'm eating each day. I'm far more disciplined when I'm locked into the routine of the school year & I think that I can really push myself and see results if I start from Day 1 of the school year. 

If you're looking to to tone up & need to fit it into a busy schedule download it ASAP! No excuses! For serious, I have been doing these in the playroom while Ella plays. That's the beauty of it being on your phone!  Happy #Sweatember everyone!

That is a cool looking app - I have an old friend from high school (who aside from being a tennis pro on Cape Cod also just got the job as fitness trainer for the New England Patriots cheerleaders) and he has a fitness program called BMAX with YouTube videos, etc. It would be interesting to see if he is planning something like this ... because it seems the perfect way to integrate.
