What I Wore Wednesday - Black & White

In general, I am a sucker for neutrals. But when you really get down to it, I'm basically obsessed with black & white. I wear it at least once a week, but rarely post it because I feel like it's boring. Lately I've had a change of heart though. Rachel Zoe has no qualms about her love for neutrals, so why should I? I'm changing my perspective from boring to chic. I encourage you to do the same, embrace the black & white. Be chic!

I wore this outfit to school last week when it was 75 degrees outside. I was so comfortable. I don't know what it is about a maxi dress, but it makes me feel so relaxed and at ease. It was perfect for a long day of state testing. Rule of thumb: If you need to be comfy, but don't want to look like a slob kabob, put on a maxi dress.

cardigan - Ann Taylor // jeans - J.Crew Factory // tank & flip flops - Old Navy
This is the outfit that I am wearing today. I started off with grey bermudas on, but decided that it was too dreary. So, I changed into white jeans. (I really wish these jeans were skinnies, but when they were  a steal from J.Crew Factory so I don't complain.) I know that most people add a pop of color when they feel that an outfit looks bland, but you can really do the same thing with white. A pop of white is crisp and adds a frehsness to your outfit not always achieved by other neutrals.

And just to prove that I'm not the only person in love with black & white, here are a few of my favorites from Pinterest.
